The retreat may include:

• Time to connect, rest, eat, laugh, and get to know one another

• Time to enjoy the beautiful lake & surroundings

• Conversations about each woman’s background, perspective, and questions

• Collaborative planning for the coming season

• A recorded group conversation

• Individual and group photography and video

• Optional opportunities to share personal stories

• Time to reflect on what it means to find something real

After the retreat, participants will be invited to continue as part of the Season 9 cohort. This is an invitation and not an obligation. But follow-up participation generally includes:

• Periodic online podcast conversations throughout the year. Ideally, each participant will agree to be present for at least five remote recordings.

• Participating in one personal story or discussion episodes, depending on comfort and availability

• Staying connected through occasional group messages or video calls

• Sharing episodes when comfortable

• The possibility of returning to Chelan for a season-ending retreat and live podcast gathering in Spring 2027

Finding Something REAL is a Christ-centered ministry. Janell and the guests who join the podcast approach questions from a historic Christian worldview and believe that Jesus Christ is where we ultimately find Restoration, Eternity, Authenticity, and Love.

You do not have to be a Christian, or agree with Janell to participate. Honest questions, uncertainty, and respectful disagreement are encouraged and welcome.

The group will include approximately 8–12 young women, generally ages 18–25, along with Janell and a small female hospitality and ministry team. More detailed information about accommodations, transportation, and the retreat schedule will be provided to confirmed participants.

Lodging, meals, and retreat activities will be provided. Travel arrangements and possible assistance will be discussed individually before participation is finalized.

Parts of the retreat may be photographed or recorded for the Finding Something REAL podcast, website, and social media. Nothing will be shared publicly without participant consent. Participants will receive media and participation agreements during the retreat and will have an opportunity to ask questions.
