  • This event is for anyone. While our guests are Christians and will address questions from a Christian perspective, we welcome a diverse audience and hope to have people from different worldviews there!

  • Each podcast season’s content is curated entirely by young women and their questions or objections. However, the audience of Finding Something REAL (FSR) is diverse and spans generations of those navigating faith, identity, and cultural pressures. FSR also serves as a resource for parents, mentors, and ministry leaders seeking insight into real questions people are asking. Some of our favorite guests and listeners are men!

  • It’s our desire to host future live podcast recordings in other locations, including college campuses.

We also have a garden party fundraiser planned for June 19th. For ticket information, please contact us.

  • Finding Something REAL Ministries, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, exists to share the truth and love of Jesus Christ with young women (and beyond). We believe lives are changed when young women are welcomed into compassionate spaces where the gospel is central, hospitality is generous, and conversations are real.

Our ministry is focused on 1) building and investing in intentional cohorts of young women from various backgrounds. 2) creating online space and a weekly podcast where we explore spiritual questions and answers from a historical Christian perspective, and 3) hosting in-person gatherings including small retreats and larger outreach events.

Past and Future Events.

  • Eight young women accepted personal invitations to be part of Season 8 of the Finding Something REAL podcast. While the podcast officially started in 2019, this was the first in-person gathering of cohosts. During this retreat, stories were shared, questions were encouraged, and a shared experience helped build community amongst a diverse group of new friends.

  • Finding Something REAL’s first fundraiser was hosted at the Lake Chelan Bible Church. Nearly 100 guests enjoyed a meal catered by the Chelan High School Culinary Arts students and many heard about the mission of the Finding Something REAL ministry for the first time. Several cohosts were able to join us for this special event that coincided with FSR’s new 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

  • “What are You Searching For?” This will be our first in-person podcast recording. We’ll be joined by two guest Christian apologists for this one-night free community event.

  • This is a ticketed event. For information or to get tickets, please email Janell at janell@findingsomethingreal.com.

  • Several cohosts have already been invited to join in for another in-person retreat starting in August. This diverse group of young women will bring new stories, perspectives, and questions which will in turn, curate the content and create the space for next season.

FSR is a necessary ministry that I’m so honored to be a part of. Being recorded is daunting, but Janell and the crew made my experience very comfortable. Thank you FSR for creating space for me to be myself!" ~Sarah V.
